| Sar Shalom -Shabbat School for children ages 1-12 years meets every Shabbat during Torah service. This one day a week program offers the building blocks of a Hebrew education and Torah observant lifestyle: Holidays, Alef Bet, Bible, and life cycles using storytelling, arts and crafts, music, cooking, learning prayers and blessings, along with participation in a once a month Children's Shabbat service, and dance to enhance learning. Family Life Education Programs are also included as an important part of growing into a Torah observant life. This ensures a strong foundation in faith that is Messiah centered. All are welcome. Our Shabbat School is a place for both the Jewish and non-Jewish child to grow together, to learn together to create unity in the community of believers which will build bridges of understanding and mutual respect and Chesed (Kindness). Please join us for regular Shabbat services in our main Sanctuary at 12 noon located in the Crossfire building at 942 28th Street in Springfield. Our mission is to nurture the children's spirit of wonder in a Messianic enviroment, with excitement and learning of Torah observance as our children sing and play together in the format of a Shabbat service.Sar Shalom Children's Shabbat Services are held one Sabbath a month starting at 12:30 am. This service is designed for couples planning to start a family or families with babies and children up to 12 years old, also for proud grandparents too. Our abbreviated prayers follow the basic structure of the Sabbath Morning Shachrit service. We will sing, dance with the Torah, hear Torah stories, eat homemade challah, and in general delight in celebrating the Sabbath. After Kiddush, parents and children are welcome to stay to eat and shmooze. Parent participation and feedback is wonderful and greatly appreciated.
